Alison explains: 'My professional career started with a client facing role within the banking sector. After varying levels of management from team leader to call centre manager, I ended my banking career 15 years later within Private Banking. My career within the banking industry enabled me to develop excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building long-term relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels. This allowed me to gain the respect and loyalty of my clients. Succeeding in the customer service industry proved that I am reliable, honest and trustworthy. These skills gave me the confidence to pursue a career change in sales and promotions, which developed into the start of my own business. Before long, Bo-Concepts was born!'
Lorraine adds: 'My career began in floristry at the tender age of 14. Many think it is a glamorous job, but the environment in which florists work is cold, damp and dirty. This role kick-started my career as a creative thinker and helped to develop my practical skills. I got such a great feeling of satisfaction when a beautiful end product was created, while the satisisfaction of my customers and the great feedback i received from them was a reward in itself. This encouraged me to develop a customer-facing career that enabled me to think creatively while demonstrating my practicality, which is now a large part of my day-to-day role as part of the Bo-Concepts team.'
